PCF 1ST ANNUAL COMPLIANCE BEST PRACTICE AWARDS:

Through a competitive process, companies will be selected to receive the following categories of awards based upon company size. Two categories of awards shall be given: large (in excess of $10 billion in global sales annually for the organization and all related organizations on a consolidated basis) and small/medium (those with less than $10 billion in annual sales). Categories of Awards in the Large and Small/Medium sectors shall include the following in each sector:

  • Best Practices in Training
  • Best Practices in Auditing/Monitoring
  • Best Practices in Communications
  • Best Practices in an Overall Program

A winner in each category will be selected by a panel of judges, none of whom are employed by a pharmaceutical company.

THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPLIANCE FORUM:

The 1st Annual Compliance Best Practice Awards are sponsored by the Pharmaceutical Compliance Forum (PCF), www.PharmaComplianceForum.org, a coalition of senior compliance professionals and legal counsel from more than 50 of the largest research-based pharmaceutical manufacturers. The PCF was founded in early-1999 by compliance professionals from the pharmaceutical industry to promote effective corporate compliance programs. The organization is open to others in the industry and has more than doubled in membership since its founding. The members meet twice a year, for two days, focusing on open and informal sharing of compliance information, best practices, and current developments in the field, and sponsors a three-day compliance congress each Fall.

HOW TO NOMINATE A COMPANY:

Nominations shall be submitted as follows:

A company may nominate itself or it may nominate another company. Nominations may include one or multiple categories. A nomination shall be in writing, and shall be no longer than one (1) page in length for each category.

The written nomination shall describe the activity, provide an explanation of the circumstances resulting in the development of the activity, explain why the approach constitutes a "Best Practice," and quantify the success of the activity using appropriate measurements as applicable.

Where printed or electronic materials/tools are utilized, examples of these materials should be included with your nomination, but the extent of materials submitted should be only that which is reasonably necessary to demonstrate support for your position.
