SAN FRANCISCO CA USA -- HEALTHCARE UPDATE NEWS SERVICE(TM) -- MARCH 22, 2006: Innovation in healthcare is occurring at a rapid pace, which is why the Co-Chairs for the Fourth Annual CDHC Awards and Second Annual NHWP Awards are urging you to submit your entry now for 2006. Winners will be recognized at an Awards Banquet where we will celebrate healthcare's best programs, services and products on May 9th, 2006 at The Consumer Directed Healthcare Conference & Expo co-located with The National Health, Wellness and Prevention Congress at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco.


The CDHC Awards will recognize excellence and advancement in services, products, and programs that enhance the consumer's ability to manage their healthcare expenditures and enhance healthcare quality. Product development and marketing companies, not for profit organizations, government agencies and academic institutions are encouraged to submit entries which will be judged on specific criteria by the independent panel of industry leaders. Time is short as entries must be received by 5:00pm EST on March 31, 2006.

  • Best Employee Awareness Program for Consumer Directed Health Benefit Choices
  • Best Company/Organization Initiative for Education on Their Health Care Choices
  • Best Company/Organization Initiative to Promote Employee Wellness and Improve Health Care
  • Best Financial Institution Initiative for HSA Implementation
  • Best Health Plan Initiative for Consumer Directed Health Care
  • Best Technology Introduced By a Health Plan Organization for Employee/Consumer Choice
  • Best Design of an HSA Based Health Plan
  • Best Website Promoting the HSA and the CDHP
  • Best Website Facilitating Patient Relationship Management
  • Best Website for Consumer Health Care Information

The NHWP Awards will recognize excellence in programs, services and products that advance health, wellness and prevention; from incentive based programs, health risk assessment tools, technology advances in fitness, new corporate wellness initiatives, self monitoring devices, nutrition and diet educational programs, hospital and health plan wellness offerings. For profit companies, non-profit organizations, government agencies and academic institutions are encouraged to submit entries which will be judged on specific criteria by the independent panel of industry leaders. Time is short as entries must be received by 5:00pm EST on March 31, 2006.

The fee for entries by non-profit associations, academia and government organizations is $25.00 (excluding hospitals).
