WASHINGTON DC USA -- HIT/HIPAA UPDATE NEWS SERVICE(TM) -- FEBRUARY 24, 2006: The eHealth Initiative and Foundation (eHI) and the National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH) will sponsor an invitation-only meeting designed to bring leaders in business coalitions together with leaders who are developing and operating state and regional health information organizations in markets across the U.S. to define collaborative strategies that will improve the quality, safety and effectiveness of healthcare for patients.
This meeting will take place during eHealth Initiative's Third Annual Connecting Communities Learning Forum and Exhibition April 9th-11th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Join healthcare practitioners, leaders and stakeholders in communities across the nation supporting action in Congress designed to advance health information exchange at the state, regional and community levels. Interest in the issue is echoed in the Bush Administration, which pointed to electronic health records as one way to tackle the nation's healthcare woes in the State of the Union address.
