WASHINGTON DC USA -- PAYMENT/DELIVERY SYSTEM REFORM UPDATE NEWS SERVICE™ -- AUGUST 16, 2013: The Twelfth National Quality Colloquium, www.QualityColloquium.com, will be held on September 18 - 20, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Washington, DC. The Colloquium, which has been held on the campus of Harvard University in the third week of August for the past 11 years, is moving to Washington, DC in September of 2013 and will emphasize the role of public policy in the patient safety movement. The Colloquium will be offered both onsite and live and archived for 6 months over the Internet.


QUALITY AND PATIENT SAFETY TRAINING PROGRAM OVERVIEW
PATIENT SAFETY TRAINING PROGRAM

The Quality Colloquium is offering two Patient Quality and Safety Training Programs in the form of optional courses within the conference for attendees wishing to delve deeper into the Colloquium's subject matter. Participants may select either Introduction to Quality and Patient Safety or Advanced Applications in Quality and Patient Safety Methods.

Completion of the Introductory Training Program is not a prerequisite to taking the Advanced Applications Training Program.

The Program requirements are:

  • Completion of pre-conference readings -- click here for the introductory program materials; click here for the advanced program materials
  • Consideration of a series of pre-conference questions -- click here for the introductory program questions; click here for the advanced program questions
  • Attend either pre-conference Quality and Patient Safety Boot Camp (Introduction or Advanced), in person or online
  • Attend Colloquium either in person or online
  • Successful completion of the post-conference online examination relating to the pre-conference session attended.

Attendees who successfully complete Program requirements will receive a certificate of completion.

Special Benefit for Patent Safety Certificate of Completion Holders:

Participants who successfully complete the Patient Safety Training Program offered in conjunction with the Twelfth Annual National Quality Colloquium are eligible to receive a 15% tuition discount for courses taken as part of the Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety (MS-HQS) degree program offered through Thomas Jefferson University's School of Population Health. To be eligible for this discount, National Quality Colloquium students must meet all admissions requirements for the program and must enroll by July 1, 2014.
