SAN FRANCISCO, CA USA -- HEALTHCARE UPDATE NEWS SERVICE™ -- JUNE 3, 2021: Guess who's back, Shady's back -- OK it's not Eminen, but two rock star CEOs who got their start in the very late 1990s and hit it big in digital health will be talking a little about the past and a lot about the future at "Policies:Techies:VCs--What's Next For Health Care".

Glen Tullman
CEO, Transcarent

Glen Tullman led Allscripts through the Meaningful Use boom years, and then moved on to Livongo. That of course turned into the 2019 IPO and the biggest digital health merger ever, when Teladoc bought it in a $16bn deal.

Jonathan Bush
Executive Chairman, Firefly Health

Jonathan Bush had the first digital health IPO in 2008, although we weren't calling it that back then. He led Athenahealth for over 20 years until a very hostile takeover from what we might politely call an "activist investor" set him on a different path.

Last week both of them announced big raises for their new companies. Tullman has pulled down nearly $100m for his new navigation company/ Transcarent. After dabbling as a board member investor at Innovacer & Firefly Health, Bush just announced he's taking the CEO role at Zus Health -- a "lego building block" tech supplier to new provider organizations.

Yes, two of the biggest names and two of the most opinionated characters in health tech. Back again, at the new conference hosted by Matthew Holt & Jess DaMassa.

It'll be fascinating and it'll be fun.
