Complimentary eHI Webinar:
Federal Effort Aims to Standardize Addresses to Improve Patient Matching

April 1st
1:00 p.m. EST

WASHINGTON, DC USA -- HIT/HIPAA UPDATE NEWS SERVICE™ -- MARCH 24, 2021: Project US@, a federal initiative, was launched by the ONC in December 2020, aiming to accurately link patients' medical records across the various facilities where they receive care.

While something as simple and mundane as a snail mail address may seem, creating a standard format has shown to dramatically improve patient matching rates - reflecting that even minor improvements in health IT can have a big impact.

On April 1, eHI will lead a discussion with experts from ONC, Pew Charitable Trusts, and NextGate to talk about this initiative and the impact of standardizing patient address formats on a national scale by the end of 2021.

SPEAKERS:

Molly Murray
Officer, Health Information Technology, The Pew Charitable Trusts

Dan Cidon
Chief Technology Officer, NextGate

Jen Covich Bordenick
Chief Executive Officer, eHealth Initiative

Carmen Smiley
IT Specialist (Systems Analysis), Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC)
