WASHINGTON, DC USA -- HEALTHCARE UPDATE NEWS SERVICE™ -- OCTOBER 18, 2022: Pursuing health equity means striving for the highest standard of health for all individuals, regardless of their circumstances, and why funding research to advance equitable health care remains central to PCORI's mission.

Join us October 26-27, for our 2022 Annual Meeting, as patients, clinicians, researchers, and health system representatives combine their unique perspectives to discuss strategies and approaches for making health equity a reality.

Our 2022 programming includes a dynamic plenary session October 26 on advancing health equity through community partnerships, as well as a session the following day examining the inequitable toll of the COVID-19 pandemic and the efforts to respond.

On Thursday, October 27, conversations center on lived experiences and personal reflections of health equity during our session: Achieving Health Equity: How Can Comparative Clinical Effectiveness Research Help Address Structural Discrimination?

This powerful and engaging session includes Patrick Gee, PhD, who will share his story as a patient with chronic kidney disease who confronted bias throughout his personal journey to receiving a kidney transplant.

Whether joining for the first time, or a regular attendee, we look forward to delivering you a robust virtual experience with nearly 50 poster presentations; interactive Q&A's; plenary sessions; on-demand content; and the ability to connect with colleagues from around the country.
