MA SUMMIT DATES DELAYED TO APRIL 25-28 TO PERMIT FACULTY TO ADDRESS THE CMS FINAL 2024 RATE NOTICE

On Wednesday, February 1, CMS issued its Advance Notice of Methodological Changes for Calendar Year (CY) 2024 for Medicare Advantage (MA) Capitation Rates and Part C and Part D Payment Policies and solicited comments on this Advance Notice that must be received by CMS no later than 6:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday, March 3, 2023. It is anticipated that CMS will issue the Final 2024 Rate Notice on or before April 4th. Certain elements of the Advanced Notice have been controversial and may have significant strategic implications for the Medicare Advantage program and its participants.

Some of our faculty have told us that they will need more time than the 6 days between April 4 and April 11 (the beginning of the Summit) to analyze and incorporate the implications of the Final 2024 Rate Notice into their presentations. To address this issue, we have made the decision, in conjunction with the Summit's planning committee, to push back the Summit two weeks to April 25-28, 2023. That will give the faculty of sessions directly impacted by the Final Rate Notice adequate time to update their presentations.

We apologize for any inconvenience that may result for this brief rescheduling of the Summit. We have been persuaded that this is necessary to assure the highest quality of the Summit's content.

WASHINGTON DC USA -- HEALTHCARE UPDATE NEWS SERVICE™ -- FEBRUARY 15, 2023: The Virtual Fourth National Medicare Advantage Summit will take place on April 25-28, 2023 as a purely virtual event. Upon consultation with the Summit planning committee, the decision was made to offer the Summit as a virtual event again in 2023 because the majority of health care providers are in significant financial distress as they emerge from the pandemic and are facing staffing shortages and expense increases and supply chain challenges.
