Each year, I look forward to reconnecting with peers at the Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Ethics & Compliance Congress, www.PharmaCongress.com which is being held this year October 13-16 in Washington, DC. While the networking is valuable, what stands out is how our discussions evolve to reflect the challenges we face as ethics and compliance leaders.

This year, those challenges are accelerating. Artificial intelligence is reshaping how we assess risk, monitor activity, conduct investigations, and support business decisions. At the same time, regulatory expectations are shifting, business models are growing more complex, and compliance professionals are expected to provide strategic, practical guidance.

None of us has all the answers, making opportunities to learn from one another more important than ever.

For 27 years, this Congress has served as a trusted forum for compliance professionals to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and learn from peers and government leaders. Its commitment to practical education and open dialogue continues to set it apart.

As Board Chair of the Pharmaceutical Compliance Forum, I'm especially proud of the collaborative process behind this Congress. Members of the Pharmaceutical Compliance Forum, the Medical Device Executive Steering Committee, and our faculty develop an educational program that reflects the real-world challenges facing ethics and compliance professionals. Their collective expertise helps ensure the agenda remains timely, practical, and relevant for professionals across both the pharmaceutical and medical device industries while preparing us for what's ahead.

This year's program brings together compliance leaders, legal counsel, government representatives, industry experts, and solution providers to address the issues shaping our profession. Hearing directly from government officials—alongside insights from peers responding to evolving enforcement priorities—remains one of the defining strengths of the Congress.
