Dear Colleagues,

The role of the ethics and compliance professional continues to evolve.

Today, we are expected not only to understand regulatory requirements and manage risk, but also to anticipate change, influence decision-making, navigate increasingly complex business environments, and help our organizations make thoughtful, ethical choices.

That requires us to continually grow as professionals and as leaders.

One of the things I value about the Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Ethics & Compliance Congress, being held October 13-16 in Washington, DC, is the opportunity to learn from people at every stage of that journey. The Congress brings together experienced Chief Compliance Officers and senior leaders, emerging compliance professionals, government officials, legal experts, and other thought leaders who bring different perspectives to the challenges facing our profession.

There is tremendous value in hearing how other leaders are approaching difficult issues, benchmarking our own programs against our peers, and being willing to challenge the way we've always done things. Just as importantly, there is value in building relationships with colleagues we can continue to learn from long after the Congress ends.

This year's agenda reflects how much our profession is changing. From artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to evolving enforcement expectations, new business models, leadership development, and the changing role of the compliance function, the conversations are not only about the challenges we face today—they are also about preparing ourselves and our teams for what's ahead.

For 27 years, the Congress has created a forum where the ethics and compliance community can come together to learn, exchange ideas, and strengthen our profession. That opportunity feels especially important at a time when the expectations placed on compliance leaders continue to grow.

Whether you are an experienced compliance leader or building the next chapter of your career, I hope you'll join us in Washington this October. We all have something to learn from one another—and something to contribute.
