Every major stakeholder in healthcare has a powerful organization representing its interests: insurers, hospitals, drug manufacturers, physicians.

Patients remain powerless in contrast. Hundreds of patient advocacy groups exist, but most are organized around a single disease or a single issue.

What We Are Building
Power2Patients is a new nonprofit that uniquely brings providers and patients together to put patients at the center of healthcare policy. We're developing a national strategy on research, education, and advocacy focused on issues nearly every patient encounters—denial and delay of care, affordability and medical debt, access, transparency, and accountability.







What Makes This Different
Power2Patients is built to do what others have not:

  • Patients and clinicians, in one movement. Advocacy usually organizes one or the other. We are merging the two.
  • Strategy and grassroots under one roof. Research and policy shops rarely have people in the streets. Grassroots groups rarely have deep policy capacity. Our 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) structure gives the movement both.
  • Built for how people organize now. Patient anger lives online. We are partnering with creators, clinician voices, and people telling their own stories.
How We Turn That Into Change
  1. Find the gaps. Analyze the policy landscape and identify the specific opportunities where an organized patient voice can change the outcome.
  2. Pick the fight and build the case. Convert analysis into a focused campaign with real experiences, evidence and a concrete ask.
  3. Organize the people. Recruit members, elevate patient voices, bring in clinician allies, and partner with existing advocacy groups.
  4. Apply the pressure where decisions get made. Congress and federal agencies, statehouses, hospital boards, insurer policy, community governance.
